The book must be turned portrait to read these. This idea came from the other two EIC's work at the MIPA Theme Workshop (where they won a Sparty Award). We wanted to mimic the big and unequal sized letters on the cover so I just typed each letter seperate, made a few big and a few small and moved them aorudn until it looked viually pleasing. I continued to deisgn all of them because there was kind of no way to describe how I do it, it's just my own eyes and what I think looks good.
opening gatefold
"OffScript" gave us the idea to make the opening of the book a double gatefold, 1. because "script" gives a book vibe and a double gatefold is like a book inside the book 2. a double gatefold is somewhat rare, and after designing and working on this 9 page project, I can see why
